Once you enabled the Mobile Template for the Blogger (blogspot) blog, smart phone users will be automatically redirected to the mobile site when they accessing your blog from their mobile phones, if their mobile browsers are Webkit-based (for now)- which including Android Browser, Chrome for Android and iOS, and Mobile Safari.
Which means, if a mobile user is using blackberry or Symbian, probably he won't be able to see the mobile site (hope Blogger can fix this issue in the short future).
In the previous post I shared "How to Enable Blogger Mobile Template For Smart Phone Users to Access". Now question is: How to redirect mobile users to the mobile site manually?
Quick answer: You need first to know the mobile site web address for your Blog.
The Mobile Site URL Address for Blogger (Blogspot)
If your Blogger blog web address is http://my-blog.blogspot.com, then once you enabled mobile template for the blog, your mobile site address will be:
http://my-blog.blogspot.com/?m=1
Noticed the ?m=1 at the end of the address? That indicates the mobile site of the blog.
For example, my mobile site is at http://www.bloggerjourney.com/?m=1
Redirect to mobile site manually
Now you can redirect users to the mobile site manually, by adding a link at the top of your regular blog, either in the header area under your blog title, or under the header above all the posts.
To add a link above the posts is easy, just add a HTML/JavaScript gadget from the dashboard, and post the link inside the gadget.
If you'd like to know the details, check my previous post "How to Add Widget / Gadget Above Blog Post in Blogspot (blogger.com) " .
Enjoy the freedom of mobility !

DeleteIf you use Firefox, go to "about:config" location and set the following preferences:
ReplyDeletegeneral.useragent.site_specific_overrides = true
general.useragent.override.blogspot.com = "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:17.0) Gecko/20100101 Mobile Firefox/17.0"
This will force Firefox to load mobile versions of Blogspot blogs.
thanks for letting me know that only Webkit-based browsers work, so I used a Webkit-based browser's useragent string.
By the way your Fav ICO is Hilarious
